International passenger train "Avala"

Avala is a high rank express train, unique within Serbian Railways for its quality offer and services provided to the customers and users of railway transport.

International passenger train Avala operates on the section Belgrade (8.30)-Budapest (15.50)-(18.40)-Vienna (10.03)- Belgrade (20.21), with the through sleeper on the route Belgrade (8.30)-Budapest 18.20 (19.24)-Kiev (19.53)-Moscow (10.10).

From Budapest the passengers have the possibility to continue their journey, with the transfer, to Prague (Budapest 19.55-Prague 6.01) and to Krakow (Budapest 19.10-Krakow 5.45). Beside that, the passengers can continue their travel with transfer from Vienna to Paris (Vienna 20.34-Paris 10.27), to Hamburg (Vienna 19.55-Hamburg 8.06), Zurich and Geneva (Vienna 21.18-Zurich 6.35-Geneva 9.15).

In return the passengers can continue the journey from Belgrade, with transfer, to Sofia (Belgrade 21.00-Sofia 5.50) and Skopje (Belgrade 21.00-Nis 1.33-Skopje 6.10).

The passengers traveling on the line Belgrade-Vienna-Belgrade have the possibility to use the Wien Special return ticket, which costs 67,10 EUR, much cheaper than the regular return ticket of 126 EUR.

Using the EPA system, passengers in international transport can make a reservation of seats (sleeping berths and berths in sleepers) for the entire journey.

The train is air-conditioned and consists of one first class car with 58 seats, three second class cars, each having 80 seats, dining car with a buffet and kitchen and one dining compartment with 32 seats, owned by PE Serbian Railways. The train also contains two second class cars, each with 60 seats, owned by Austrian Railways, as well as two sleepers, which are the possession of Russian and Ukrainian railways, with 30 and 20 berths.
