Founded: 4.6.1945.
- Sport Fisherman Club, founded in 1922
- Football Club, founded in 1924
- Beside these two clubs, at that time also started working Table tennis, Chess, Swimming, and Gymnastics Club
- In 1953 S.S. Zeleznicar had altogether 18 clubs
Results:
The most quality club in the society (but also in Yugoslavia) is the Sword Club with over 200 Yugoslavia's champion titles.
- Tamara Savic-Sotra was Yugoslavia's champion for 26 times, and in 1992 she was on the 10th place in the world's rang list in sword-playing.
On the second place is the Wrestling Club:
- 22 state representatives
- 29 competitors won 87 international medals and 220 medals on world competitions
- The best individual competitor of the whole S.S. Zeleznicar is Branislav Martinovic:
- Silver Medal in Rome, 1960
- Bronze Medal in Tokyo, 1964
In 55 years of its existence S.S. has given a great number of state representatives in numerous sport disciplines.
Today, in the S.S. there are nine clubs that are competing: Sword, Football, Volleyball, Table tennis, Basketball, Chess, Wrestling, and Sports Fisherman Club.
At this moment, the most quality is Sword Club, which is certainly the best in Serbia and Montenegro, and beside that its competitors are State representatives. |
